Green Spaces

Green Spaces – Country Park and Open Space Management (OMS)

There are a number of areas of green space in Great Denham, including the Country Park and the former Golf Course land. There is also a network of Public Rights of Way that cross the parish, connecting us to neighbours in Biddenham (and on to Bromham) and Kempston.

The green spaces are owned and managed by:

Bedford Borough Council – the Country Park, the green space around the Park and Ride

Landowners: the Biddenham Estate and the Old Ford End Trust (the former golf course land) – their agent is Bidwells

Additionally, some of the green areas and verges are maintained by the Borough Council through an agreement known as Open Space Management.

Responsibilities for the upkeep of the green spaces – grass cutting, weed control, litter picking etc – rests with a number of organisations. When reporting issues please note who is responsible for the area you have concerns about, and contact them in the first instance.
