Country Park and Pavilion

Great Denham Country Park -is a fantastic green space, running alongside the River Great Ouse, and providing paths for walking, running and cycling of roughly 2.5km.

The Country Park is maintained through a separate commuted sum paid by the developer to Bedford Borough Council as part of the S106 agreement. Transfer of the Country Park to Bedford Borough Council was completed in July 2019.

Sports Pavilion at the Country Park

The Pavilion is now built – it provides changing facilities for those using the sports pitches and also a café. Opening of the building has been delayed due to damage from a water leak, the repairs required, and then unfortunately Covid-19 restrictions. It is managed by Bedford Borough Council.

A tender for the cafe operations was held by Bedford Borough in July 2019 – we are looking forward to welcoming the new tenants to the community when they open, which will hopefully be soon.

Sports Pitches at Great Denham

There are a number of football pitches available to book, for both senior and junior 11-a-side, and also smaller 7-a-side pitch. Bookings are managed by Bedford Borough Council.

Great Denham Park Run

The first Great Denham Park run took place on 17th February 2018 – a great turn out on a cold but bright morning.
