Residents are understandably concerned about the security of the land and buildings at Great Denham Golf Course, now that the Golf Club has closed. The Parish Council has asked Bidwells, the agents for the Old Ford End Trust (landowners) for a statement about the security arrangements in place.
“Bidwells, on behalf of The Trustees, has instructed a private company to secure the land on which the Great Denham Golf Club sits to deter any anti-social behaviour occurring on site during the transition period.
“The site’s golf course, Greenkeeper’s Shed and Club House will be monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week via CCTV cameras. If an alarm sounds, the security company will be the first response to site.
“As consulting professionals, we are well versed to understand the risks posed by leaving the land vacant for a short period of time. Therefore, we have blocked all of the hard standing areas and other obvious access points.
“We will continue to engage proactively with the local community on this matter and operate with full transparency. We ask that locals continue collaborating with us on this matter and make us aware of any risks as soon as possible.”
If you see any evidence of trespass on the land or security issue on the buildings then please advise the Parish Clerk by email on clerk@greatdenhamparishcouncil.gov.uk and she will report it to Bidwells for them to take the necessary action.
