The final recommendations for future electoral arrangements for Bedford Borough Council have now been published. Bedford Borough Council should have 46 councillors, with effect from the 2023 Local Elections.
Those councillors should represent three three-councillor wards, twelve two-councillor wards and thirteen one-councillor wards, across the borough.
We are also proposing that the boundaries of most wards should change, one will say the same. These proposed changes will now go before Parliament for approval.
Thank you to everyone who offered their views.
What does this mean for Great Denham?
Great Denham will become a Ward in its own right, with an elected Borough Councillor to represent residents. This is great news. Great Denham is a growing parish, with its own character and needs.
